human type walking action
« on: February 13, 2010, 09:36:48 AM »
this is a new system for the walking action of humanoid robots it is simple and very robust

the extension of the main driving strut add a 90 degree movement to the knee joint and the max effort is in tension .
the foot action is also via a tension strut so just like muscles can be made robust in construction.
i intend to make this set of legs use an elderly persons walking frame so will be very realistic

nearing completion the action is amazingly realistic and has made several strides to end off power flex so far
working on a robust frame and means of steering it
here is latest pic of the zimmer frame

the tray in front will hide a steering  mechanics and radio control  the trial so far is very successful and was able to turn with a weird hopping motion

now compare it to conventional design and thinking

movie of it walking along the road  ON UTUBE

I'll bet this invention made the news.  :1st: Any buyers? Amazing!
I may not have gone where I intended to go, but I think I have ended up where I intended to be.
