In remembrance of my mother
« on: November 20, 2006, 11:58:03 AM »

When my mother went to heaven she saw many other souls there
Each had a bag full of tiles that represented their life
The angel said before she was able to enter she had to assemble her tiles into a pathway.
She looked at her tattered tiles each with a time in her life where she had given her love and often not appreciated.

Some of the tiles were broken when her heart was broken from the trials of her family.
Some had names on it where a new one joined the family or came under her loving wing.

She looked at the tiles and wondered how I could walk on these; they are so tattered and worn.
She looked at the others there and saw they had beautiful tiles that shone and were decorated; even some were of pure gold.
These people were the rich that always had a good life and never worried about others and always had the best no matter what the cost.

   The angel said
“Make up your tiles and see what your path looks like”.
As the tiles fell into place an image seemed to appear of a beckoning angel and the path was dotted with lights  each representing a time in her life where she gave all her love to some one else
In the darkness she had the lights to guide her over the path to heaven.

She looked back at the other souls and found many that had no lights
They were stumbling blindly in the dark unable to make their way.

The angel spoke and said
All those shining tiles are the memories you left of the love you gave to your family
They will always be there to guide those that follow you
you can try  the impossible now  but miracles take a little longer
