left and right handed working

hand tools for left-handed people
most tools can be usd by left handed or right handed.
but the work they do is often obvious to the trained eye.
I was repairing a very old double bass instrument and took particular notice of the way it was cut from the raw wood.
The instrument was made in a factory situation where all the components were hand made and assembled by different people  each speecialising in some part of the work they were expert with.
So one person would be hand crafting the scrolls and another thicknessing the fronts  etc.
That was when i noticed that the person making the scrolls was definately left handed as the chisel strokes that had to be done left handed were much more positive than the ones that had to be done right handed.
When I further examined the underside of the front  I saw that the opposite was true  the right handed chisel strokes were more positive than the left.
to me it was obvious the two different people  were involved in the making of this nearly 200 year old instrument.

left verses right brain
